• The County Judge is the elected CEO of the county
• Provides for the execution of all ordinances and resolutions of the fiscal court
• Execution of contracts entered into by the fiscal court
• Submits to the fiscal court an administrative code for policies and procedures
• Oversees all county departments and report to fiscal court
• Requires all officials and departments to submit an annual budget/report to the fiscal court
• Presents to the fiscal court an annual budget and administers the budget when adopted by the fiscal court
• Makes appointments to add or remove members from boards, commissions, and designated administrative positions, with approval of the fiscal court
